Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Member of Local Union 636 for at least 1 year.
  • Must be a Member in good standing.
  • Must be present at the STAR event to win prizes.
  • Must have a valid OSHA 30 certification.
  • Must have valid CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Must Complete an additional 24 hours of safety training.
  • Only classes taken at the Southern California Glaziers Training Center will qualify with the exception of OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid.
  • Only classes taken after January 1, 2017 will qualify towards the additional 24 hours of training.
  • Required class must be completed 3 weeks prior to the STAR Event.
  • Each member is eligible for one Journeymen Grand Prize in his/her lifetime.
  • A separate Grand Prize will be offered for Apprentices. Each apprentice is eligible for one Apprentice Grand Prize in his/her lifetime.
  • Rules and Prizes subject to change depending upon the number or participants.
  • In the event of a dispute, the decision of the STAR Program Committee will be final and binding.
  • Winners are responsible for State/Federal taxes applicable to prizes won.
  • Full time employees of DC 36, IUPAT or the Apprenticeship are not eligible for STAR Event drawings.
  • No Drugs or Alcohol at the STAR Event.
  • No pets at the STAR Event.
